In addition to the recent redesign of its exterior, Subway seems to be intensifying its preparations for a "multiyear transformation journey" by undertaking a menu overhaul.
Subway Sidekicks, a trio of new 12-inch treats, have been announced for distribution in its U.S. locations beginning on January 22.
The Footlong Cookie, a 12-inch chocolate chip cookie priced at $5, has been formally declared as an element of this menu revision.
Prior to this, customers were granted an advance look at the confection during National Cookie Day in select restaurants in 2022 and 2023.
However, what has not yet appeared at Subway locations is the $2 Cinnabon Footlong Churro, which is "served warm" and dusted with cinnamon and sugar from Cinnabon's Makara.
Subway has declared that its new Auntie Anne's Footlong Pretzel will include 12 inches of pretzel.
The $3 "buttery and salty" snack is accompanied by honey mustard from Subway, which "elevates every bite to a higher plane."
Menu adjustments are the result of Subway closing hundreds of locations in the United States over the past few years, reportedly due to declining sales.
