3. Frenchman’s Bend Hot Springs

Sun Valley's Warm Springs Road's Frenchman's Bend hot spring is 10.5 miles away. Weekends and vacations are popular at these springs. Fall colors make this place beautiful. Sun Valley shines in September.

4. Kirkham Hot Springs

Kirkham Hot Springs is Idaho's top geothermal pool. Soak and socialize on Highway 21, 5 miles north of Lowman. Kirkham's campsite draws summer guests. Popular because a wooden stairway leads to various pools of different temperatures. A pool receives hot water.

5. Trail Creek Hot Springs

Cascade to Warm Lake Road, right. Turn right 18.8 miles later. Hike to two perfect pools over a magical creek. Loved springs. Pipes mix hot and cold water for soaking. We liked both winter and summer visits.

6. Mountain Village Lodge

Stanley's Mountain Village Lodge is my sixth stay. I always reserve a sunrise spring position. An old barn beside the river houses the spring. View the Sawtooth Mountains via the barn doors. Coffee makes a good morning.

7. Burgdorf Hot Springs

Idahoans must visit Burgdorf Hot Springs. Simple historic wood cabins. No power. Football teams and reserves can use the ancient cottages' hot spring. Winter Burgdorf is snowmobile-only. Last year's bachelor party backcountry skiing and soaking was great. Dad's 80s resort memories are amazing.
